Welcome to Dick Poe Sucks.
Dick Poe of El Paso, Texas is the owner of the Dick Poe Motors group, also based in El Paso, Tx. Dick Poe Sucks, and so does at least one of his Toyota dealerships, Dick Poe Toyota Sucks.
The Dick Poe Toyota service department screwed up my truck while they had it for an oil change. For more than five weeks after that they were too busy to fix their mistake. When the Dick Poe Toyota service department finally did schedule an appointment, they just made my assistant wait for several hours while they did nothing to the truck.
I went to Dick Poe Toyota to find out what their major malfunction seemed to be regarding the repair of my Toyota Tundra, and they give me an obnoxious sales manager, Rick Peet. Rick Peet has his own website, Rick Peet Sucks, and you might find the Rick Peet Sucks Chronology to be both entertaining and informative. Rick Peet is a prick, and he can kiss my ass.
Dick Poe can kiss my ass, too. He employs dickheads like Rick Peet because they are good at ripping off people, and most Toyota dealers rely on the likes of Rick Peet to make money. Rick Peet is the worst kind of Toyota poison, and Dick Poe liked him enough to employ him steadily. That old birds of a feather expression comes to mind.
Dick Poe ain't your friend. His "Hi folks! I'm Dick Poe!" commercials imply that he is friendly and likable. I don't like him, and his commercials don't make sense. He hasn't been friendly to me. His dealership screwed up my truck, and I had to pay another dealer to get my Toyota Tundra fixed.
Why doesn't Dick Poe make a commercial about drunk drivers? Some people might find this article interesting reading. Dick Poe ain't one of you, and doesn't want to be. So what makes you think he will sell you a car for a good price? Is that how you buy new dealerships? Selling the cheapest cars in town?
Dick Poe has been selling Toyota for a long time. I guarantee you there are many people out there with some absolute horror stories about their experience with the Dick Poe Family of Dealerships. One of these days, hopefully soon, automotive dealers will only be able to sell cars to people who can afford them.
Just as the housing market is beginning to realize the inherent stupidity in allowing people to continuously buy expensive housing without demonstrating a willingness and ability to pay for it, one day the financial industry is going to realize that automotive financing is every bit as exposed as the subprime mortgage market is in terms of loss. There is tons of bad paper out there, and most of it gets rolled over, year by year, into new bad debt by the likes of Dick Poe and his dealerships.
